CHIAPAS: a world where many worlds fit

And after a month of "hard" work, we deserved a whim, the thorn that stuck and we had called Chiapas, home EZLN's struggle for a better world ....... as well the title says, a world with room for other worlds, really, although it sounds utopian, it is possible, though not an easy task and has required the efforts of many and the lives of others and how much remains to be done ...... but well, let's start at the beginning .....

From Tulum we took a bus to Palenque, Chiapas ...... our first destination 12 hours to get to the jungle again, this time the bugs respected us enough ..... all but the monkeys, mearnos were made up when we arrived and did not let us sleep a lot with his aulliditos, but no mosquitoes or bugs damn !!!!!!!

Visit the ruins of Palenque, also located on the middle of the jungle, spectacular, here you have a few shots .......

From here we headed SanCristobal de las Casas, another colonial town full of culture and tradition ..... we stayed in the "squat" the rabbit, where we feel at home again uan, bonfires, barbecues and dinners on "family "...... Here we met with Charles a companion of Bilbo's very cool with that visited the area for a week charged ............... stories and adventures ....
San Cristobal, churches, markets, its streets full of graffiti in favor of the EZLN deserved a few days to know .......

San Juan Chamula, a 100% native village 15 mins. San Cristobal with a full church puntazo pictures of Christian saints to which the natives worship the way, sitting on the floor covered with pine needles and making purification rituals with eggs and molasses and reciting something misunderstood in Tzotzil the language of the area. Unfortunately, it prohibited the use of cameras inside the church, so we do not have pictures of this ....
As we have said and many of you already know, Chiapas is the birthplace of the Ejercito Zapatista de Liberacion Nacional, EZLN, who struggle for freedom and equality of indigenous peoples in Mexico, which took up arms on 1 January 1994 to give to the world the injustices, massacres, kidnappings , rape and famine that have been suffering indigenous communities in Chiapas, in Mexico and throughout the world ....

Organized into self-reliant communities, the Zapatistas continue to suffer repression from the Mexican government has reached agreements with them that were never fulfilled, so continue to resist the siege that the government and the military do about them, although the situation War is the cease-fire, the insurgents are taking advantage of jungle to hide and continue to provide assistance to communities ..... education, health, gender equality, food, many fronts in the fighting, and the only indigenous communities which have made some improvement in recent years are the Zapatistas, although there is still much work to do.

So, we decided to visit the Caracol of Oventic the nearest civilization, an hour's drive from San Cris, to learn about the struggle and to help where we could ....... we arrived and the door we Indian woman gets her face covered by a handkerchief that asks us passports and asks the reason for our visit ..... we replied that we come to inquire about the status of the conflict and to provide our modest aid, which consisted a little food, rice, beans and sugar (their staple foods) and a bit of illusion for children in the form of lollipops and Caram elos ....

They let us and took us to the Good Government, as the "Zapatista Caracoles" are the center where all of the communities govern themselves ... we were a group of masked men and women who took our names, professions and the food that we had received thanks and giving us struck up a conversation about the struggle and the movement quite interesting but limited because their English was not very good ......

After that we got permission to visit the rest of the facility, hospital, schools, cooperatives, in short, a self-sufficient community and proud of it ...............

And so spent the week, good vibes, friendship, zenith, culture, theater, film and solidarity that we leave a great taste mouth and a lot of experiences that will grow as people doing a little more each day we spend on this trip ....... we went to the Pacific coast to "rest" in the beach a little more, and enjoy what we have, which is not much .......

As always, I want ... Adri and Hector

Homecoming Dresses Under $40

MEXICO LINDO: A mesecitos

So we stayed 3 weeks in Tulum, which is well worth ......

After 7 months of vacation and travel had to change the chip and into the "work mode" as I said the petty asshole of the hostel owner, an American redneck (of Tennessee, such as Jack Daniels) with great business skills and even less as a person.

The exception that proves the rule, it always does, because only bad thing is that we have found .... and what good has been the ostia ... as William "chamber if you want I give you chance!" that currar was his sentence and we got ... "guys ???.... diving courses moonlighting ten days, the beach at the hostel of the tug, a curro the other ... but well worth it deserved beach , and conversations with people, live a little in the Mexican world, and really cool people .... So william, by how they behave with us and be like is has gained a bit in the sky or at least in our hearts, that barracuda, that rich! and snorkel in the face and boating, these ceviche, what a great guy the ostia fotillos !!.... but we have one of those times you say, tomorrow you do and then we run out of them ... but the memories go elsewhere ....

And the hostel also deserved the penalty, one of the best we've found, had a huge garden where we always had people, beds, communal kitchen, barbecue for burgers, beers and lots of laughs .... from time to time but had some conciertillo party and, what was responsible for our rasta particular, "the blessss" The Little Buddha, "do not work for the system, don ' t work for babylon "lalalala lalala ..... .... that good rollazo

But was not the only Chilean poooooo Cachai did a good group of friends who speak English, although all had heard ..... French, Italian, Argentinian, English, Uruguayan and Chilean ...... so free time we had left us INEXPENSIVE dedicated to the days and nights of Tulum, while strengthening the link between us ...... remember him as one of the most special stages and fun all the way !!!!!!! ! Thanks to all @ s chic @ s! !!!!! Marion, a fallen angel from heaven, there must be few people around the world so incredible, Martin, "but saw that good colegaaaaaaaa" Alex, Uruguay's Martin, and Carol Jaco, who behaved great with us and with all that Majete, Maximo "the aaambar sietechento weight plates "lol, Thom asss hahaha the Spartan, and compete with Tarek our bedbugs, Gonzalo, Jezebel, Sandra, Sofia, Vanina, Juanito, and a long list Amid ....

went to the beach, play volleyball matches, we went to the cenotes, holes made by meteorites or so they say, full of sweet and crystalline water than most, and also alex full of fish that are responsible for feeding ... a gapos!

.... we chatted haaaarto holidays and on those nights in the hostel Trankil cagos jejejejejej and talking about more interesting things too but not so funny:) and also swam with turtles in Akumal, go experience, and ahh another day we went to Playa del Carmen, the Mayan Benidorm or something where we hold as 2 hours but we laugh a lot .....

One of the lessons of the trip, and the most amazing experiences, made many friends in such a short time, we were going to bed with a smile every night and realize as Martin says, of how special it is all the traveling, how much you open yourself to others and try to give your best every day because you know may be the last ....

And after those nights when we were going to bed so quiet we never imagined that we had overlooked .... some small bugs that live in the walls of your house q no, not the Tiny, are CHINCHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES !!!!!!!!!!! stung us all over the body and were the reason that we would leave from there, which azzzzzzzcooooo! although abnormal gringo said: yeahhhhhhhh ehhhhhhh nou problemo the bugs is always tenemouus .... but not sleep there as they do not itched .... so with great sadness, the same as we went, after 20 days pass savings and cool, to continue learning and traveling, and see if with a little luck .... know Subcomandante Marcos, because we are clear Chiapas, Palenque, tomorrow we will go to San Cristobal Casas, where we will stay a little while, and from there back up because .......... ahh that not what you said? we already have return ticket ............ eight months after return to casaaaaaaaaaaaa!!

I want .......

Alpha Kappa Alpha Zeta Upsilon

TULUM

After the short video that we posted in advance, try to summarize the best we passed by Guatemala Guatebuena ..... or rather, because the truth is coming out.

arrived in Guatemala City from the "rare" Managua and we are an advanced city, modern and rather more rich than we expected, but we went straight to Antigua, the ancient capital of Guatemala, a colonial city of Cartagena and Cuzco, full of guiris learning English. We spent a few days walking through its beautiful streets, the market and lots of churches and convents.

A city surrounded by volcanoes, some as you have seen in the video, active, and quite incidentally, as the Pacaya ....... all a show worth seeing, and also was lucky because it rained almost every days, but the day we went to see his barracks gave us erupt, so, as it sounds ...... but the sound sounded alone cuKUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUM .......... ...... such as rocks colliding. ufffff .... ... when we had a view we could see the lava from the summit farewell .... and we got closer and closer ........ ..... rivers of lava that hot! !!!!!!! as 50 or 60 degrees ... unbearable .... people had marshmellows ... yes, that nasty eating marshmallows ..... the Yankees are called in English ... and they made it with a stick up Lava .... amazing !!!!!!! jejejej
The sunset from the Pacaya ...

From Antigua we went to Lake Atitlan, Panajachel and we went through we went to San Pedro, a village on the lake where we spent another few days and met most people, you could not go out and buy the bread because it takes about 3 hours of all the people you met along the way ... and the neighborhood seemed a little, because although you would not want to go out at night you came to seek colleagues and I drew the hair from there.

good thing about this last part of the trip being that we are interacting mostly with locals, so you learn much more from the country and their customs .. ... it is incredible that only nice people .... to see if you are really roll this karma?

After a few days on the lake, it was time to leave. on .... the road again, as the song ....... and Chichicastenango, a town famous for its huge craft market where we bought a few goodies, before I knew that we had no money of course ...... almost a whole day of bargaining as it is .... ........ 300 uuhhhhhh lady ?..... no no let's go to expensive ...... 200 ....... naaaaaaaa let it not matter .. 50 !........ come ....... ok I'll take it !........ and so all day, the truth a little tiring, but we took some great pictures hidden the crowd .... cowards!

One Travel nicest things ..............

De Chichi went to Semuc Champey, as we said it was the most beautiful of Guatemala (because they had not seen the girl in the photo of course), and the truth was not bad, but neither was ara both. A natural rock bridge 300 meters long formed the basis of river erosion and now passes below it, leaving a turquoise swimming pools where a dip and the field pateillo .....

With nothing more to do or what to do there, we headed to Flores, an island in another lake, this time Peten Itza, and near the ruins of Tikal, and here was where we discovered the little money we had left and then ........ I get the panic we are going to do, then go home, tickets ewros uffffff 1500 ... well, that you count on Tikal and then return to the topic.

Tikal, the largest Mayan ceremonial center found waiting for us, as the Mirador, another site discovered recently and which is reached after 2 days walking through the jungle we had a bit out of budget and unfortunately we could not go ...... a sour feeling that we step dulce de Tikal, hidden in the middle of the jungle, with howler monkeys at hand, spider monkeys, toucans, coatis, snakes and a thousand different bugs making noise around you.

arrived there in the afternoon because the input for two days was worth if you entered from the 4 ..... so there we store for camping and we went to visit the ruins that closed at 6 ..... from at 5:30 there was naaaadie there .... you could feel the magic of the place, alone in the large square, these two temples facing each other ufff, monkeys with their howling, finally .... without words. There we stayed until they came to us out and we went to rest because the next day had to wake up at 4 to see the sunrise on top of a temple monkeys .... again with the refrain, only this time were right next us, we felt like gorillas in the mist, of course, that the fog did not see the sunrise ....... but the monkey was too much, you can not everything in life, no?.

And so we spent all day touring the ruins and returned to Florida without knowing what we were going to do next .... first, our plan was to run through Chiapas in Mexico and then go to Yucatan because we have to return from Cancun, but having less money than one who was taking a shower we decided to go to Yucatan to see if we can find a job to stay a little more and not abuse of parental support us so well this coming, but that made us feel a little bad in some way ........ but we have no money to buy a return ticket !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that irresponsibility but hey .... Total

that to go through Belize Yucatan ..... the bus where only by passing the bastards (sorry) they charged us $ 30 each !!!!! that it was the last straw ..... and when we got to Mexico, on the same bus station we decided to come to Tulum, supposedly the meeting place for backpackers in the area recariiiisimo ............ all with what we got the budget to stay camped on the beach with the store and with the hammock and desperately need a job ....... you listen carefully as things are, here was !!!!!!! sell again dives and snorkel, only this time if that works 2 days !!!!!!... and we wanted to work 5 hours a day in exchange for room and breakfast very handsome in a hostel here in Tulum, where we have worked on the first day !!!!!!, so from the craft, the snorkels and the hostel and we have no volveeeeeeer !!!!!!!.... . well, do not be frightened family, which again if we return, but only after enjoying the beach and know Chiapas amazing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I queremosssssss

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !
